Believe it or not, I had never been the Preservation Hall. It was something that was on my "To Do LIST" that just never got checked off. It's like those who live in San Franciscan who've never been to Alcatraz but have lived in the city their entire lives, HA! That's why it's a good idea to be a tourist in the city you live so you don't miss out on things in your own backyard. The Preservation Hall was so much fun and I can't believe I hadn't been there before. The venue was small but the music was fantastic and I encourage everyone to visit at least once while in New Orleans.
After we left the Preservation Hall we trotted our way over to Cafe Du Monde for some beignets and Cafe Au Lait. It was raining nearly the entire trip but we still made the best of it.
The following day my husband and I went strolling through French Quarter shopping. We found all sorts of goodies. On our way back to the hotel I found this fantastic jewelry shop. I fell in love with this oyster necklace. I remember seeing one just like it at Mignon Faget a couple of years ago. However, I really love this new designer just as much. Her name is Terry Becnel.
Looks like such a great time! I love Cafe Du Monde!

ReplyDeleteHi Kittie,
DeleteI did!!! I have a wonderful husband who purchased it on the spot for me. It looks stunning against my black summer dress. I feel 100% spoiled.
